Media Services
The Division of Educational Technology offers a suite of media services to support educational activities for the faculty, staff and students of the School of Medicine.
The School of Medicine has implemented the Panopto video recording platform to create, publish, search and manage the recordings of lectures and presentations in our lecture halls.
Mediasite also offers live-streaming capabilities for events and conferences.

The Educational Technology Media Studio, located in Room 1008 on the first floor of the Medical Education Building in Irvine, has made it practical for School of Medicine educators (faculty, staff and students) to produce high-quality videos for use in teaching medical students, residents, patients and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
Presenters can take advantage of the studio’s teleprompter, background canvas, green screen, high-fidelity audio and studio lighting.
Videos can include a "talking head" (video capture of the speaker), presentation slides as well aslive demonstrations.
A selection of audio visual and computer equipment is available for a limited term loan to faculty, staff and students.
Equipment for loan includes:
- MacBooks
- iPads
- Google Glass (requires faculty-sponsor)
- GoPros
- Wacom tablet
- Microphones
