A large number of the electives offered by UC Irvine's School of Medicine are conducted at UC Irvine Medical Center in the City of Orange, The Veterans Administration Medical Center in Long Beach, or on the campus itself in Irvine. Other electives take place in the School of Medicine's affiliated hospitals and clinics, primarily in Orange, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino counties, including several rural locations.
