Fourth-Year Curriculum
The final year of the medical school curriculum begins in May of the fourth year to give our students additional time to pursue specialty interests before the deadlines for the residency application process.
Students are required to take:
- 2 weeks of Emergency Medicine
- 4 weeks of a sub-internship (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics)
- 4 weeks of an ICU selective (Surgery, Medicine, Pediatrics, Neurology)
- 2 weeks of Clinical Foundations (includes ACLS training)
- 28 weeks of electives (24 clinical weeks minimum-2 weeks in MS3 minimum, 4 weeks max)
