Having distributed more than 750 iPads to students, faculty, residents and staff, we are truly changing our approach to medical education here at UC Irvine. From curation to content creationOur work over the last two years has represented a shift from content curation to content creation. Medical students, residents and faculty are taking advantage of our robust infrastructure and the Apple ecosystem to generate amazing content — not just for each other, but also for their patients. Educating and assessingThe iMedEd Initiative continues to evolve as we research how best to educate and assess our medical students, how to expand within our residency training programs, and how to provide more value at the bedside for clinical education and — most importantly — patient education. |
