Educational Technology

The use of technology is having a profound effect on the way that teachers teach and students learn, and the UCI School of Medicine is at the forefront of this evolution in blended learning.

The Division of Educational Technology is dedicated to enhancing the medical education experience through innovation and the promotion of new technologies.

With our iMedEd Initiative, we became one of the first in the nation to bring physician training into the 21st century with an interactive and fully digital first-year medical school curriculum built around the iPad. The program is designed to foster highly individualized and small-group learning for a richer medical school experience.

Our objective is to continue to lead the charge, offering students and faculty world-class technological support and the most cutting-edge methods of teaching and learning available.
